A chronicle of vile and pernicious truths.
About This Blog
The right to keep and bear arms, occasional attempts at satire, frequent recourse to sarcasm, and anything else I can think of. Oh yeah, and pipe smoking. Sometimes H.P. Lovecraft. And obscure Monty Python references when applicable.

View Article  My obligatory "day without a w*tb*ck" post
I didn't really notice any difference between today and any other day.  There were still loads of day laborers hanging out on Commerce St.  Supposedly a march was planned for downtown, but they couldn't afford a parade permit so they were supposed to be restricted to sidewalks.

I drove around for a while with a mucky-muck from corporate.  He told me he had stopped at a truck stop on I-35 to use the facilities just north of the city that morning.  Two busloads of people bound for the demonstrations in downtown pulled up.  His comment:  "I thought they weren't going to buy anything today.  They were sure spending money at that truck stop."  Yeah, they were bringing people in from out of town on chartered buses.  From the north.  They didn't come up from Laredo.

There's a post on this at All Things Considered, and it is mentioned that Tyson Foods had to close down because so many employees were out.  I do not believe for a second that all those employees were illegal aliens.  They are legal citizens of the United States who have willfully become part of the invasion force.  I do not believe for a second that those two buses were full of illegals, either.

I have known quite a few illegal aliens in my life.  Not a single one of them would expose himself by showing up for such a public event as this--where there are sure to be reporters and cameras.

Business went on as usual at my place of employment.

UPDATE:  Check out the report from southern California at Lest Darkness Fall:
"In short, a day on the road without illegal aliens was fantastic."

Mexico's Uppermost Threat is Organized Crime:
Mexican organized crime spends millions to purchase weapons and munitions. Every year, authorities trace between 5,000 and 7,000 guns from when they are seized in Mexico back to sources in the US. According to J.J. Ballesteros, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms Chief in Corpus Christi, Texas, this number represents "a drop in the bucket." Ballesteros admits that criminals can literally outfit an army from one gun store, "and it's being done," he said. The most popular guns are the AR-15, AK-47, and Tec-9 pistol.
Really?

I want to know which one sells grenades.

I would also like to know exactly which gun stores in the United States sell mobile, mounted machine guns.

Maybe I could put one on layaway.

UPDATE:  Maybe they got them on ebay.

In Search of the Second Amendment

The TRUE story of the American right to arms is told by some of the greatest names in American constitutional law -- professors at Yale, UCLA, Fordham, George Washington University, George Mason University, and other institutions, as well as by lifelong scholars of the Second Amendment, such as Steve Halbrook, Dave Kopel, and Don Kates.
