Former Attorney General Janet Reno and seven other former Justice Department officials filed court papers Monday arguing that the Bush administration is setting a dangerous precedent by trying a suspected terrorist outside the court system.Foolish Bushites. Don't they know that mass murder based on false charges is much more efficient?

Muslihoon linked to Tim Blair who linked to this site: Ask the Imam.
I just poked around there for about 30 seconds and found this: What is the islamic understanding about democracy, Is there any place for it in islam. Answer: The common form of democracy prevalent at the moment is representative democracy, in which the citizens do not exercise their right of legislating and issuing political decrees in person, but rather through representatives chosen by them. The constitution of a democratic country will be largely influenced by the needs and wants of its people. Thus, if its people want casinos, bars, gay marriages, prostitution, etc. then with sufficient public pressure, all these vices can be accommodated for. From this, it becomes simple to understand that there can never be scope for a democratic rule from the Islamic point of view. However, it is okay to use hair gel. Sunday, October 1

Stan at Free Constitution has a gloomy prediction.
But then, I don't think it will take that long. And Stan, if you read this, no matter what I try, I can't leave comments at your site since you upgraded to beta. Friday, September 29

![]() You can buy it at DashboardMohammed.com. Tnx to All Things Conservative. UPDATE: Well, that didn't take long. "No depiction of the prophet, even if it is positive, should be made ever - and certainly not one as ridiculous as the bobblehead Muhammed," said Zvi Ben-Dor Benite, an assistant professor at New York University. "I don't think it's about freedom of speech. This is the freedom to insult, which he shouldn't be doing."Wrong. Freedom of speech is exactly about saying stuff that is going to upset someone. If you don't like it, get out of the country. Oh wait, I see he's at NYU, so he's already out of the country. Here's my favorite part, from a different NYU goon: "Jews and Christians have gotten used to this kind of thing, but Muslims haven't," he said. "This may not be his intention, but these things have consequences."It's okay to ridicule and harrass Jews and Christians, because we're used to it. Well, Frank, some of us are pretty much fed up with it. I wish someone would come up with an Islamic Rage Boy bobblehead. Now that would be really cool. Thursday, September 21

Fish used to detect terror attacks:
San Francisco, New York, Washington and other big cities are using bluegills — also known as sunfish or bream — as a sort of canary in a coal mine to safeguard their drinking water.Interesting article. I once made myself an ultralight rig just to fish for bluegills. I found that very small bass lures were great for them. My best bluegill lure was a #0 Mepps silver spinner with a white tail. Very small floating poppers also brought them in, and it was great fun seeing them hit topwater lures. How long now until animal rights freaks protest this? Tuesday, September 19

I gotta say...my spidey sense has been tingling for about a month now. Today driving home and listening to jazz on KRTU as usual, at 2:39 PM the music was suddenly interrupted by the familiar braappps! of the Emergency Alert System. I nearly dropped my pipe.
Turns out it was just a blooper. Or a flub. Or something like that. But then I get home and read this. (Firefox users just scroll down. His template apparently isn't Firefox-friendly). Sheesh. Tnx to Reformed Chicks Blabbing.

"If
you bring forth what is within you,
what you bring forth will save you. If you do not bring forth what is within you, what you do not bring forth will destroy you." --The Gnostic Gospel of Thomas Sometimes I have to bring forth what is within me. I would like to suggest a third alternative. The "X" on the bottom is for those who want to also practice their Spencer. A Spencer is like a Mozambique, except the first two shots go into the crotch instead of the chest. Named after Sondra Locke's character in Sudden Impact. If you've never heard of that expression before, it's because I made it up. For any readers of this blog who weren't around this time last year, my post from this day last year is here. I have been going over and over this post to try and make it say what I want it to say. I almost deleted it because I thought it might offend some people who I do not wish to offend. However, I am certain that others who I do wish to offend will find it offensive. So up it goes. This is a sticky post that will remain at the top for the day. Scroll down for newer posts. I was checking out some of the blogs that have recently joined the Screw the U.N. blogroll and therefore discovered Pedestrian Infidel. A post on the main page pointed to an older series of posts (from January) that everyone should read. Written by one of their members who calls himself Avenging Apostate, it is titled From a Jihadist to a Human.
The following post is my testimony on how I converted out of the death-cult of Islam into Christianity. It was a very long journey which I undertook just to find the truth and I am happy that finally I did. I wanted to share this testimony publicly because I want people to know what Islam’s true colors are and to show what it's like being born in a Moslem family in Saudi Arabia. I feel I have a duty to do so too. I want to show how the horrors of Islam change people’s lives, break relationships and destroy homes—these are the experiences that might not be fully understood in the west. I hope my testimony helps save lives both spiritually and physically and in the meantime I hope I don’t get caught in Islam’s deadly embrace. You will know why I say that once you read this.Follow the link, read the whole series. |
