A chronicle of vile and pernicious truths.
About This Blog
The right to keep and bear arms, occasional attempts at satire, frequent recourse to sarcasm, and anything else I can think of. Oh yeah, and pipe smoking. Sometimes H.P. Lovecraft. And obscure Monty Python references when applicable.

View Article  More Stupid Gun Tricks
A deputy holding a gun safety class in an Anderson County (South Carolina) middle school apparently pulled a really dumb stunt when he had a student demonstrate "how hard it was to take a gun from an officer's holster."
'The officer there today had a major lapse in judgment,' Crenshaw said Wednesday. 'He was just trying to be nice to the kids and made a faulty decision. It was an accident. The good Lord blessed us that nobody got hurt.'
Yep. God looks out for children and idiots, or something like that.
View Article  Good dog!
I have written plenty of complaints about dogs here, so I must be fair and post this link about a stray dog that saved an abandoned baby in Kenya. The dog--now named Mkombozi (or "Savior")--has been given a home as well.
View Article  Now that's hot sauce!
Winds of Change has a few comments (w/ link) about a new hot sauce this is 8,000 times hotter than Louisiana ant piss Tabasco, at a whopping 16,000,000 Scovilles. I use another fairly potent sauce called Vicious Viper to soup up chili. At a mere 250,000 Scovilles, 5 drops will heat up a pot of chili quite nicely. Somebody should put this stuff in a spray can. It would make a heck of a chihuahua sauce.

In Search of the Second Amendment

The TRUE story of the American right to arms is told by some of the greatest names in American constitutional law -- professors at Yale, UCLA, Fordham, George Washington University, George Mason University, and other institutions, as well as by lifelong scholars of the Second Amendment, such as Steve Halbrook, Dave Kopel, and Don Kates.
