A chronicle of vile and pernicious truths.
About This Blog
The right to keep and bear arms, occasional attempts at satire, frequent recourse to sarcasm, and anything else I can think of. Oh yeah, and pipe smoking. Sometimes H.P. Lovecraft. And obscure Monty Python references when applicable.

View Article  A good search, this time
Someone came here today after searching "santa holding a pipe."

I'm glad I could be of service.  New pix will be posted daily through Christmas.

Thanks to Samantha Burns.

Here are some very clever and entertaining advertising ideas from around the world.

I didn't think "Valentine" when I saw all those arrows.  I think my favorite are the vending machine ads.

So there's this one house that I know from previous experience I have to jump the fence.  Most people probably don't know this, but among those of us who jump lots of fences, a sort of fence-jumping handedness develops.  I have to brace myself with my right arm and go over left foot first.  If I try to go over right foot first, it is very awkward and my chances of making it are reduced dramatically.

So my shoulder wasn't hurting a lot, but it's still stiff and weak.  I tried to go over the fence, and my arm just folded up like a piece of paper and dumped me right on the fence.

It was one of those chain-link fences that still has the sharp twisty bits left poking up at the top, and it poked a few holes in me, but nothing serious.

So that was the end of my fence-jumping attempts for the day.

I can't really blame the people for keeping their place locked up like a fortress.  Bynum Street is pretty much a highway through a hellhole.  And I'm not as tired as I thought I would be.

In Search of the Second Amendment

The TRUE story of the American right to arms is told by some of the greatest names in American constitutional law -- professors at Yale, UCLA, Fordham, George Washington University, George Mason University, and other institutions, as well as by lifelong scholars of the Second Amendment, such as Steve Halbrook, Dave Kopel, and Don Kates.
