A chronicle of vile and pernicious truths.
About This Blog
The right to keep and bear arms, occasional attempts at satire, frequent recourse to sarcasm, and anything else I can think of. Oh yeah, and pipe smoking. Sometimes H.P. Lovecraft. And obscure Monty Python references when applicable.

Since I wasn't there I won't comment on this incident, except to say that if your dog bites someone and he shoots it, that's just tough for you.  Don't jump him and try to take his gun away.

Brown's attorney, R.F. "Bo" Horka, said what fueled the argument was when Brown's step-grandson was chased by one of Slider's pit bulls while driving around the trailer park in a golf cart. Brown, who has a federal firearm license that allows him to carry a concealed handgun, went to Slider's residence in reference to the dog.
Another reporter slips up and exposes his ignorance.  The Texas CHL is issued by the state of Texas, not by the federal government.

In Search of the Second Amendment

The TRUE story of the American right to arms is told by some of the greatest names in American constitutional law -- professors at Yale, UCLA, Fordham, George Washington University, George Mason University, and other institutions, as well as by lifelong scholars of the Second Amendment, such as Steve Halbrook, Dave Kopel, and Don Kates.
