A chronicle of vile and pernicious truths.
About This Blog
The right to keep and bear arms, occasional attempts at satire, frequent recourse to sarcasm, and anything else I can think of. Oh yeah, and pipe smoking. Sometimes H.P. Lovecraft. And obscure Monty Python references when applicable.

View Article  Alleged church building arsonists caught, yet...
...the MSM seems stupified at the lack of racial motivation.  From Reuters:
Authorities have arrested three college students in connection with a spate of fires that damaged or destroyed 10 Baptist churches in Alabama, investigators said on Wednesday.

[...]

Baptist is the predominant denomination in the region. The attacks did not appear to be racially motivated since some of the churches had majority white congregations and some had majority black congregations.
I just finished listening to an NPR report on this, and the authorities' best guess (that they're willing to voice, anyway) is that these were "thrill burnings."  And yet both NPR "reporters" kept trying to discuss it as if there were racial motivations--but there weren't--which had them confused, apparently.  They didn't seem to understand how it could have happened, otherwise.

Here's the problem:  in this world we live in, there is an overwhelming attitude that there must be some "logical" reason for every act, even evil acts.  Although racism is perhaps not logical in the grand scheme of things, it would be "logical" in the eyes of the perpetrator and would therefore make sense.

What they fail to understand is that some people are simply evil, and need no better reason than that to commit acts of evil.

There is no such thing as moral relativism.  There is good, and there is evil.  If that makes me a fundamentalist, then so be it.

In Search of the Second Amendment

The TRUE story of the American right to arms is told by some of the greatest names in American constitutional law -- professors at Yale, UCLA, Fordham, George Washington University, George Mason University, and other institutions, as well as by lifelong scholars of the Second Amendment, such as Steve Halbrook, Dave Kopel, and Don Kates.
