I finally had an interview today, and tomorrow I go take the standard drug test.  I am so looking forward to leaving my current job.  Today was an unusually bad day, in which I was pretty much doing two jobs at once.

I still somehow managed to come up with a few link posts.  The original material that I was working on for this month will probably be put off until next month, because I want to do some actual footwork and investigate some things at the gun show and possibly at some local gun stores to get my info more complete.

I have a fairly interesting pipesmoker coming up for this week, related to the current 06/06/06 hysteria.

And I'm going to be seriously disappointed if someone doesn't rag me for wanting a purple XD.

I don't say much about religion here because...well, I just don't want to.  But I want to point you to this post at Reformed Chicks Blabbing.  Even if you are not a Christian, you should still be concerned (there's a euphemism for you) at how rampant political correctness is influencing movie ratings.  The MPAA gave a movie a PG rating because it is "too evangelistic."  Read the whole post.

Yesterday we received word that KT Ordnance, manufacturer of incomplete (80%-finished) frames, was raided for the alleged "illegal manufacture of firearms." KT Ordnance has been a great asset to those who wish to purchase unfinished receivers with which to anonymously manufacture their own firearms -- a perfectly legal process, according to the BATFE website ( http://www.atf.gov/firearms/faq/faq2.htm#a6 ).

You can see from photos of the AR-15 kit ( http://www.jpfo.org/kto1.jpg and www.jpfo.org/kto2.jpg) that the product cannot possibly be a functioning "firearm" -- it's simply a chunk of metal! So how can this happen?

Early reports suggest that -- as Len Savage warned us in his "Talkin' to America" interview ( http://www.jpfo.org/tta060508.htm ) -- the BATFE has arbitrarily decided that certain products have the "features and characteristics" of firearms. As can be expected, there exists _no_ definition of exactly what "features and characteristics" are in question at this time.
