Received the last batch today, this time of old pipe ads. A greater cornucopia of oddball gimmicky gadget pipes I've rarely seen! There were plenty of other interesting old ads mixed in, some related to guns, some just interesting in general.
I had a long day today compensating for someone else's stupidity. That's what my job usually entails, but today it was worse than usual. I spent some time scanning and don't have the energy to go looking for blogworthy news, so there.

Vintage Gun Ad: Colt "In A Tight Place" (date unknown)

 This is one I'd like to have a hardcopy of. Can anyone ID all the guns? The source of this ad said that it was from 1911, but I'm not so sure. Which machine gun is that, and when was it made? I don't know much about machine guns. The guy on the left is obviously using a double-action revolver, is it the M1917? I can't tell what the guy in the back is using. I wonder what the "Revolver Girl" looked like. |
